Yes. The analysis board, opening explorer, database queries, player preparation and puzzles are free, with a registered account raising the daily limits. Premium removes the limits and adds every hosted database.

How many games are in the database?

Over 14 million over-the-board games, searchable by position, player, opening and date, plus FIDE profiles for roughly 1.5 million active rated players.

Which engines can I use?

Stockfish runs directly in the browser. For deeper sessions you can rent dedicated cloud GPU engines running Stockfish and Leela, or connect any UCI engine on your own machine with the desktop app (Premium).

How do I prepare against a specific opponent?

Search any player by name, across FIDE, Chess.com and Lichess, and Chess.ceo builds an interactive opening tree from their games, showing every line they play, how often, and where they score worst.

Can I store my own PGN files?

Yes: cloud PGN collections with sharing, position search, and optional end-to-end encryption so only you can read them.
